Current Mood: ![]() Being in NY for almost 20 years, I've never been to a Chinese New Year Parade. Crowded street, terrible parking, and getting up early in the morning just turn me off. But this year is different---- everybody in my department is going, and its the company's 29th birthday, and the most important it's my birthday! So, I decided to enjoy myself. The weather is around 40 degrees, the sun is shining, it's a perfect day for parade . We gather around the flower truck with the company logo and the loudspeakers are playing all the Happy New Year songs. Parade route is short, but it takes a long time to go through. We are yelling Happy New Year and all the good luck words along the way, Sherry is dancing happily of course. After the parade, we have the company birthday lunch (or dinner? or luner?) and the lucky drawing. I even win 20 dollars. I guess its really my lucky day! Is that mean I am going to have a lucky year? |
